Father's Day Surprise

It was Friday and I had gone to visit Miggity at his mom's house. I enter and get greeted by the clawing dogs (as always) and then Miggity asks me, "So, what are you doing Sunday? Wanna go to my dad's cookout?" It didn't occur to me then that it was Father's Day on Sunday. He said his brother and his dad would be there. Sure, I'll come (in my head thinking "REALLY? I finally get to meet your father and brother who live in Dallas after 1.5 years of dating you? It's high time you jerk. Of course I want to go to this cookout). So I did. Miggity is a carbon copy of his dad. So, now I already know what he is going to look like when he is 50 lol. His brother was not there. The food was good.. everyone was very welcoming and I had a good time chatting with the women.
I don't think anyone considered "the introduction" a big deal. But it's an important step for me, and it made me happy.
Oh, and for the first time we went out with his mom and some colleagues Friday night to Gloria's. I had some dessert and the ladies danced a little. It was nice to be out "without really being out." It was more like just hanging out and watching, which wasn't bad you know. Miggity is dance-shy, so I gave him company at the table.
