Who doesn't love a nice, greasy diner? Goldmine definitely scores high on the fried scale. When I saw the onion rings my jaw dropped and I instantly salivated. Unfortunately, not quite the same when I tasted it. The batter lacked salt. Plain and simple. I don't eat too much salt, but I do know when it's too little. Same story with the coating on the fried chicken breast. Although, it was cooked to perfection. I finished the entire sandwich because it went well with the bread and layer of mayonnaise. My friend ordered the omlette filled with everything and a side of hash browns and biscuits. He was very happy with his order. It fulfilled his desire for greasy, tasty food. I tried the biscuits. They were a beautiful shade of ecru mixed with sand, they were large, and had a delicate dusting of flour. Beautiful! As far as taste... ehh, kinda dry and flavourless. Maybe because I was comparing it to Church's ridiculously good biscuits. The bill came to $16.00 + tip. If I'm craving diner food I'll just head to the closest Denny's. Last Words... Service (on the slower side), Cleanliness (average diner like), Closest hospital (3 miles).
