The Promise of the Mountains...

SO, after months of fantasizing, I finally (and very confidently, within a couple of minutes) booked my solo ticket to Oregon, for my fantastic solo holiday... as a declaration of my independence and "I can't keep waiting for the right people to join me" attitude. Miggity was extremely busy with doing home repair projects for his friend's house, so I had probably chatted with him for 15 mins. that week. After about 2 days (and everyone else finding out first through facebook), I tell him, "Oh, so I finally booked my ticket to Oregon." When we finally had a few minutes in private to sit and chat he said he felt a bit like a girl 'cause he felt almost offended that I didn't even ask him if he wanted to come, even knowing well that he couldn't afford it. In my head I was thinking, WHAT? Robot Man is showing some feeling? is that feelings I see hiding behind his statement? To which I apologized, but next thing I knew, I was running to computer looking for dates and telling him I can pay for half his ticket and he won't need to pay for room, car and attractions. And the next day, I booked his ticket.
Done. Miggity is coming. This could be a maker or breaker for the relationship, because we need to see what we are like together for more than 5 hours, and just by ourselves, not a bunch of friends with us. Agreed, it's still not a realistic picture because it's a new place with so many distractions, but still. I am hoping it'll revitalize something. Although, relationships 1.5 years old shouldn't need that really. But, oh well, stranger things have happened.
