Confused yet? I'm a non Valentine's-day person. I think it's a hyped up occasion. But, when Miggity made an effort to make it special, it was special! Sunflowers, card, and the most wonderful meal at Neighbourhood services bar&grill on preston/royal. He ate the chick fri pot pie (which was DELICIOUS in my opinion) and I ate the short rib pot roast (pretty good as well) and the crown went to the dessert... which was their version of the ding-dong. Funny name, serious serious cake! Everything was made in-house and I just can't stop raving about it. Too bad I didn't have my massive camera lol. It was a special day, and it felt nice being treated on this day. And what's even better is that Miggity picked a restaurant that I had always wanted to try (not sure how he knew!), and it was totally NOT filled with couples. Yes, yes, of course I had something for him- a card and a vintage washed t-shirt (it was red in colour and said "Bazooka gum." Everyone was happy lol.

A Project to Bond Over
In my pushy attempt to make Miggity as driven as I am with money and work matters, I emailed his website www.markfixesstuff.com to my clients. And sure enough, a few of them wanted some things done, but I was only able to actually get him to do one project lol. So, here is the result of what we did a few weekends back. We spent a whole saturday sweating over building two wonderful work tables. Sure it could have taken half the time, but I learned a few things about darling Miggity- he is not very organized and professional in how he does these projects. But it was so much fun to be doing something productive together and he'd get paid for it. A good way to spend a Saturday every now and then.

A Bittersweet Christmas
Christmas sucked. I had my chum, i was super hormonal (aka emotional with mood swings) and I hated what miggity gave me (or was trying to). I wasn't a happy kid.
But there were some parts that were fun... the lunch meal we both had. We attempted to make corn tortillas from scratch and everything else for the Surf 'n' Turn Fajitas.
We shopped the day before and it was lots of fun gathering everything in the frenzy of the holidays. But even better was going to "The Church" on Sunday with Leah, Mike, Miggity and moi. LOTS of fun! great music, great people watching, and no crazy crowds. Best of all- $5 to get in and free diet coke for me!
Miggity and I also squeezed in a short day trip to the german town Muenster near Gainseville. It was so much fun! We ate at a german restaurant, drove unknown roads to get close to the massive windmill farm, ate chicken peppers from Bayer's bakery, devoured a german chocolate cake, saw the courthouse in Gainseville, and took some random pics.
This week off form work has been DIVINE. So divine, that I think God might indeed grant my wishes of getting laid off on Monday lol. Welcome 2011.
